Summertime is the perfect season for refreshing beverages, and lemonade is actually one of the most versatile. Try brewing yours with fresh organic herbs-- such as thyme, basil or mint-- for a truly sensational summer treat!

I love making my own "chia lemonade." I add organic chia seeds to my favorite Santa Cruz lemonades (10/1 ratio lemonade/chia), shake/stir well then let chill in the fridge overnight. In the morning you get a refreshing beverage that's fun for your mouth!

My favorite Summer drink? Ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved the taste of fresh lemonade in the dog days of Summer. Picking the home grown lemons from my neighbor's backyard and checking for freshness and quality. The zest of fresh cut lemons wafting around me and up towards my excited face. The smiling lemon circles in the lemonade add the perfect touch. Pouring in the juice and adding in the sugar, stirring the pitcher and making a sign saying, "Fresh-squeezed home made lemonade. 5 cents," with a big lemon underneath makes a wonderful Summer day! Drinking the lemonade that I so proudly made makes these days even better! Lemonade is my favorite Summer drink because its the color of Summer! The big yellow sun that shines adds a beautiful and mouth watering sheen. The light bounces off my mother's glass pitcher making neighbors flock over with nickels in hand. Delicious, tangy, liquid gold...... LEMONADE! My all time favorite Summer drink is like a shared past time. Lemonade is by far my favorite Summer drink and it always will be!

My favorite summer beverage is definitely nice fresh lemonade or sweet tea, hard to pick between the two. Even though my three year old is in love with sweet tea, that's all he wants to drink! Easy on the sugar though!

Sangria. Simply made. Add 2 oranges, 1 lemon and some triple sec or brandy to a bottle of red, chill and you're done. It's summer in glass to me.

I've got a great summer drink recipe. Mix a can of limeade with jasmine pearl tea. You replace the water with the tea (that's been brewed of course). It's simply delicious and very refreshing for summer.
