We like to use sparkling water and whatever fresh juice we have to make wheat we call juice sparklers. For some reason, the sparkling water makes the kids more excited about the limeade or berry ade that we are making.

I absolutely love lemonade. It is right up there with water as a thirst quencher. Usually, I just cut an organic lemon in half, and fill a large glass with water, and squeeze the juice from the lemon into the glass. My granddaughter received a huge playhouse complete with a lemonade stand, and this would be so much fun for us.

I am entering this sweepstakes to "Win a Lemonade Stand Gift Basket" for my grandson. Weather is still cool here but he now is planning for his lemonade stand. I know he will raid my strawberry patch. He has done this for a few summers and has been successful. He will be delighted to bake the brownies and cookies to sell at his lemonade stand.

Denny Stephan says …

As summer approaches, this 70 year old would like nothing better than help with his grandchild's (8 years old) stand. We helped him last year and he loved it. This year, now that we discovered Whole Foods and are eating natural and organic know that your organic lemons are the way to go. It's 50 miles to your store as we live in Wheeling Wv. but don't mind the drive to get good, safe food. (and it also is staffed by happy, helpful people) Denny

Lemonade is my favorite! I like it plain and simple with lots of lemons and sugar.

Lemonade is not just the yummiest drink in our houshold but nutritious as well. My four daughters are at a peak age of learning to understand money and love the idea of having a lemonade stand. They can impart to our neighborhood a sense of learning and sharing that brings me back to my youth.

Judy Bonardi says …

My favorite summertime drink is a tall glass of pink lemonade with lots of ice. It's the only time of the year I have it so it definitely says summer and warm weather to me.

I love fresh, homemade lemonade more than any other juice. It is so refreshing. I like the low sugar or honey variety. Wholefoods has every item you need to make a great recipe. My grand-daughters always have a lemonade stand when they come to Manhattan Beach, CA.

It may sound strange, but I love homemade chocolate milk: chocolate syrup and fresh cold milk on a hot summer night is delicious and refreshing. On a really hot night, you can add ice cubes.

Squeeze and/or puree organic lemons (or oranges or pineapple or peaches or berries or anything else yummy in season -- you can also use a combination of these). Dilute with flavored or unflavored coconut water. Add a bit of agave syrup or honey to taste. Pour into tall glasses filled with FINELY CRUSHED ICE!!! Top off with a generous amount of Lakewood Organic tart cherry juice to add a beautiful summery color and good antioxidants; don't stir the cherry juice, let it blend in slowly like a sunset drink. Serve with fat straws and long spoons. This is a drink and dessert in one, and has lots of electrolytes and nutrients to keep young and old going strong or revive everyone at the end of a long, hot day.

Ges says …

Oh it definitely is lemonade for the summer. Some freshly squeezed lmeons, some water, some sugar, and lots of ice. Nothing is more refreshing to serve to friends and enjoy on the porch! :)

jennifer says …

I love to make fresh strawberry lemonade without the seeds just strain them out. Or Fresh brewed Ice Tea with honey and lots of lemon or you can add any fruit puree you like! I like peaches or mangos yummy!

Dana says …

My favorite tea all year round is Thai Tea. I purchase authentic Thai Tea, loose tea, from my favorite Thai Restaurant, who gives me an excellent price on it. I brew it, add ice to my cup a little half and half and I'm good to go!! My son on the other hand LOVES lemonade, so there is always a pitcher of lemonade in the fridge as well. Winning this would be incredible. Not only could he make his favorite beverage, he can make enough to set up a little stand and learn the value of making his own money! That would be such a plus. Thanks for the contest!
