Making fresh lemonade and ice tea is one of the best parts of summer. Fresh flavors, fruity tastes, are what makes summer family gatherings extra special. I like the best of both worlds with half ice tea (spearmint) and half lemonade and honey.

What a great gift basket! Love ice cold lemonade -not too sour, with a good cookie! Have happy memories of our childhood lemonade stand -every summer we would try selling at least once! We lived on a busy street, in a big old house with a wrap-around porch -sold to the neighborhood kids and actually thought that the busy traffic would stop and buy -sometimes they did!!

Me and my daughter love summer, and we love making lemonade together. Especially sharing lemonade with the members of our military community in NC. As a young child I also sold lemonade and goodies to neighborhood patroners so it is very nice to carry on that tradition today but with healthy organic ingredients. She would be so very happy if we won this. My husband is gone alot so we spend alot of time together and I try and keep her very busy. My favorite lemonade recipe is using fresh lemons, water, organic sugar and a little bit of mint. It is amazing :O)))) Thank you Whole Foods we love you.

My daughter is going to be 10 years old soon and she has been asking me to build her a lemonade stand. I am going to buy the wood this week and build it for her, she is going to be so surprised. So now I have a challenge for myself to make the best lemonade ever!! I believe that I will make my lemonade with fresh lemons of course, with truvia and water. I am going to boil the water and then pour it over the lemons that are cut in halves, then add the truvia stir well and place in the refrigerator for about an hour. Then add some mint per glass or grenadine for pink lemonade. Wish me luck!!

My favorite summer drink is from when I was a child growing up on Long Island New York. My dad, who died when I was 13, used to make Homemade Lemonade for us! Dozens of lemons and lots of sugar....all I remember is the lemons in the huge stock pot filled with water. I dont know how he made it all I can remember is how it was the most refreshing and yummy tasting lemonade I have ever had. Even now as a Professional Chef....I cannot replicate Dad's lemonade! But its my June through August drink with lots of ice! ( sometimes I add some fresh herbs ( mint, basil or even lemon thyme ) from my herb garden. Adds a little somethin somethin!

Kimberly J. Chandler says …

My favorite summer drink is a delicious concoction I came up with by mistake. My goal was to make the perfect glass of lemonade. I'd put all of the ingredients on my kitchen counter so as not to wreck my "flow" in crafting this "perfect" beverage. However, I was also watching Oprah at the same time. Add to that, I was peeling peaches in order to make a peach cobbler. Long story short, I squeezed the lemons into the pitcher, put the simple syrup in, put a few cut lemons in and added water. Whatever was happening on Oprah took me away for a moment. When I returned to lemonade making, I put some of the cut peaches in the lemonade. I mixed everything up along with ice and poured a glass. While I was expecting the lemoney taste I was accustomed, I was delighted to have a sort of peach-infused lemonade taste. This "mistake" had now produced my favorate summer beverage.
