Parties at our place: my boyfriend's amazingly garlicky homemade hummus, served with toasted pita triangles for bread lovers and veggies for the gluten-free or calorie-conscious among us, and always with good-quality Kalamata olives as garnish. YUM! Parties elsewhere: Sometimes the same hummus (it's often requested - way to go, boyfriend!) or a nice big bowl of fresh seasonal fruit. Who can resist berries and melon?
