I love to put a healthier spin on an old classic - popcorn! I air pop it, then top it with a "healthier butter" (part organic butter, part flaxseed oil, part coconut oil) , then sprinkled with Celtic sea salt. Whatever the party occasion, this favorite always seems to make the snack list!

Annette says …

Low-fat tapanade: 2 cups pitted salty black olives pureed with 1/3 cup canneloni beans, 1 Tbsp. olive oil and 2 cloves garlic; add a pinch of Celtic salt if desired. Spread on baguette slices and top with cheese and cucumber; on tomato slices and top with basil; on grilled zucchini slices. Or use as a dip.

Well, the company makes it a party, but there MUST be fresh fruit and veggies, REALLY good baguette and olive oil, and excellent artisan cheeses!

Well, I'm planning a 60th birthday party for Aug 5 and trying to make it glutenfree as I have an allergy. We're using glutenfree pizza rounds (Udi's) to make flatbreads with various cheeses and sherry-sauteed mushroom spread, for one thing. Italian mini-meatballs with my husband's home-made red sauce. Rice crackers, various charcuterie, and some awesome glutenfree tiramisu and chocolate mousse cake. So far, that's it.

Hummus and red bell pepper strips are my favorite. Cheese and a variety of crackers also works. Strawberries and Nutella is a new find this summer.

I like to have brunch parties. That way, I can invite the guests to join me in the garden, where they pick the fresh ingredients they want for our brunch menu. After the trip to the garden, we head for the kitchen to go over my recipe collection (specific for my garden). It's always a wonderful surprise to see what treasures we have for the menu, and everyone feels like they contributed to the feast.

I like to serve grilled veggies on a stick, humus w/garlic chips, salsa and chips, grilled peaches or pear w/ ice milk or fresh fruit with cheese, but one of my favorite is slices of lean turkey wrapped around a slice of cucumber, carrots, and celegry sticks UM.... so good.... and of course white wine or friut filled sangria.

A nice cool pico de gallo, served with tortilla chips or crackers. Also, a refreshing punch drink to keep everyone cool on those hot summer days. (and never forget the bottled water) :)

I make this recipe: http://www.davidlebovitz.com/2009/12/holiday-snack-mix/. It is so delicous, the nuts and pretzels get coated with this sweet, salty, and spicy glaze that is just irresistible.

I like olives, organic yellow or blue corn chips and terra chips as a party snack. Once when I put a bowl of the terra chips out, a friend thought it was potpourri until I told her what they were!

Hello, I love to have some of those veggie chips, especially with kids, I prefer healthy snacks that give them energy with a sugar low or high sodium. I also like the pre cut carrot and celery sticks with a dip. My kids love the fresh pineapple, strawberries and grapes with a yogurt/honey dip.

Gots to have sliced baguette with a buttery brie with a nice pinot or old-vine zin. For a recent dinner on a blazing hot evening, I made blood orange margaritas served with with light munchies like sweet potato & root-veggie chips. For something a little fancy nothing beats applewood smoked bacon-wrapped scallops--no embellishment necessary--so good!

Of course I like crackers and cheese (any type), pretzels, and the infamous onion dip. I also like either jack w/veggies or pepper jack and grapes. My sister-in-law serves this. There is salsa and chips, too. I have even made a sundried tomatoe tapenade on occasion.

Linda says …

Love having friends over for cheese, fruit, pickle okra and olives.

Party faves - Always get requests for my cheeseball, spicy sausage dip, sweet & sour meatballs, and bacon wrapped water chestnuts - It's party time!

Mitra H says …

My go to party snack has got to be fresh hummus. The versatility of hummus itself coupled with the plethora of items that can be paired with it make it perfect for a variety of occasions. Hummus is like that perfect dress or set of pumps - so easy to dress up or dress down; its all in the accessories.

If you don't check out the beer selection before you leave you're missing out !

I think the perfect party go to snacks are - fresh raw veggies with a yummy dip or just have the veggies are their own! nuts or mulit-grain crackers with a dip is always good too, and you can't forget something hot but easy like stuffed mushrooms. Then to top off the party a fruit punch is always good - with peaches, strawberries, bananas, and ginger ale (for alcoholic add champagne) :0 then enjoy your time with friends and family and well PARTY ON!!!!!
