I have been to Costa Rica twice on extended vacations. It is Hawaii on a budget. You get big bang for your buck! The people are so friendly, mosst speak English and the food is outstanding. Their economy is stable and there is something for everyone. I toured the whole country with a private driver so I ate at the "locals hangouts". Make sure you sample the fruit juices. Food was cooked over an open grill using coffee wood so the flavoring was unique and delicious! I fell asleep at night listening to Howler monkeys booming. The beaches are pristine and the mountains are gorgeous! I was amazed at how many people retrieved surf boards from the plane when we debarked. I met people from all over the world and the accomadations ranged from 5 star to simple cottage type rooms. I did not enter the contest as there is no way I could make the trip anymore but I envy anyone that gets to go!

I have always been supportive of and interested in sustainable organic farms, and most importantly in a university which prepares people including myself to become leaders in this field. Also, I have always wanted to visit Costa Rica and to see the natural beauty of the country. It has been my lifelong dream to start a organic farm. I am therefore very much interested in all aspects of this trip. I hope I am one of the finalists.

i would love to go to Costa Rica ... I and my daughter's family are fans of the Toronto location and spend about $400 per week on the fabulous organic foods provided.

Would love to win a trip to Costa Rica and experience the culture. Have never been and think it would be a wonderful experience and also to taste the local cuisine. We are a family of gluten free diets and do all of our shopping at Whole Foods. I hope that I am the lucky one.

Costa Rica is one of the few countries in the world without a standing army! Bordered by two oceans, Costa Rica is truly outstanding! It is the country to visit for learning about sustainable agriculture.
