Celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving gifts that give back, helping spread that V-Day love around the world. Through fair prices, direct trade, community development and environmental stewardship, gifts of Whole Trade and Fair Trade treats add a new meaning to the old saying: “it’s the thought that counts.” Yes, it’s the thought…the thought that every purchase supports the workers and communities that produce the item you’re buying. From flowers and chocolates to wines and unique snacks, you can find a bundle of treats for your valentine. And to spread a little love around ourselves, we’re giving away five gift baskets full of socially responsible goodies. Why? Because it feels good to give gifts that give back! We’re giving away five baskets filled with Whole Trade and Fair Trade treats – from milk chocolate hearts and chocolate dipped bananas to cinnamon sugar drizzled popcorn and dark chocolate granola. Just enter a comment below by February 10th telling us what makes your Valentine special. Whether it’s your sweetie or your grandma, we want to hear it all! We’ll choose five comments at random to receive a Valentine gift basket. And one of the lucky winners will also receive a $150 Whole Foods Market gift card to use to purchase a few bouquets of our beautiful Whole Trade roses, Fair Trade wines or ingredients for a home-cooked dinner for two. Here's the list of goodies you can look forward to in this basket of love. Even if you don’t win a basket from us, you can surprise your valentine with a sweet and meaningful treat! 365 Everyday Value Organic Swiss Milk and Dark Chocolate Bars - Every bite is not only creamy and smooth–but responsible, too. My husband is my Valentine. He got up early and started my car in the ice storm and made sure it was warmed up. He also cooks everyday and with the help of Whole Foods is a gourmet chef.

My valentines are my son and his wonderful family. All love in my life includes daughter(in-law) and two of the most beautiful granddaughters possible. They all add special joy each day of our lives and especially on Valentine's Day. I have been introducing them to "Whole Foods" a little at a time. My granddaughters love the good stuff. The parents will follow. Enjoy the days.

My Valentine is my lovely husband and partner in all things. He's a smart, dedicated Dad and husband - and overall care-taker. After a tough year of lay-offs and illness, he's my one-man clean-up crew. He lifts our spirits with his enthusiasm for life and good old fashion fun! And, he's my co-conspirator in revamping our family meal planning so that we're all-organic and (nearly) vegan. It keeps us bright, alert and excited about spending time in the kitchen!

My boyfriend is my Valentine. He has always made it a special day for me, whether it was sending me flowers at work or biking 18 miles together at the Worst Day of the Year Ride. This year it's my turn to make it special for him. It's a challenge, but I'm looking forward to it :D

My Mom is my Valentine because she is there to help show me a recipe to prepare, available to help babysit my daughter's when I need a hand, she likes a clean house and no dishes in the sink etc. Mom's energy level is great and not only that, she has volunteered in many ways with community involvement. I would love to surprise her back with her kind actions.

My valentine is my girlfriend of 4 years. Currently we are on opposite sides of the world with her in an internship in Asia and me in medical school here in the U.S. Yet, the distance and time difference has only brought us closer together. We are both pursuing our dreams and with each others continuing support we'll make them happen.

This year, I would like to celebrate my father as my Valentine. This has been a trying year for my father, fraught with a new disability and attempting to make a new normal of his life. Through all of the heartache, it's my selfishness that allows me to bask in the fact that he's around more often to spend quality time with. No matter what man comes, leaves, or stays in my life, he has been and always will be the most reliable force in my life. I love my pappy.

My husband and I have come to enjoy spending Valentine's day with our 4-year old daughter. It's a great time for us to surprise her with a small gift and her favorite sweet treats; it just gives us one more way to show her how much we love her. Of course, my other Valentine will always be my husband. He's always been wonderful to me and there for me no matter what. He's an awesome and loving dad and I honestly couldn't be more blessed. Now I can't wait for Valentine's this year...maybe we'll take a trip to Wholefoods to pick up some delicious Sorbet or Gelato. It has become a tradition (or maybe a bad habit LOL)to pick some up right before we go shopping!
