My Valentine is my husband. Married for 5 years and have to precious boys! He works hard in USN, but still makes time for his friends and family. I love his random acts of kindness and his sense of humor that no one seems to appreciate, but me! ;)

My Valentine this year is my best friend. Whenever I'm bummed she always takes time to send me a card or give me a call. She's like a sister and always knows just what I need!

My Valentine is special because he not only works his 60 hour a week job but is also spending every other waking moment rebuilding our home after this summer's tornado.

My poor husband hasn't had dessert since I started my new diet. He could really use some chocolate.

Alone? Psh. My fireplace is my valentine. Keeps me nice and toasty, though it does require a good bit of tending. Geeze, these high-maintenance types...

My husband was my Valentine.....the love of my life. He passed away nearly three years ago, and every year around Valentine's Day I look for a sign that he's watching over me. Last year, I responded to an appeal in the local newspaper for ideas for their arts and crafts column, and much to my surprise (as it wasn't a contest) the editor of that column decided she liked my idea and, as a thank you, offered me some LUSH products that she had been given by LUSH. If I happen to be lucky enough to have my name drawn this year, that will be my sign....and I'll be thrilled!

I love my mom, and she is my valentine. What makes my valentine special? When I was 7, (I"m now 26) She put me on an all natural diet to cure my ADHD and it worked! One of my favorite past times as a kid was going to Whole foods with my mom, to pick out my all natural treats that wouldn't send me over the edge. Now I'm grown up and she still takes care of me. Yesterday she sent me a whole foods gift card cause she knew I was low on money and I hate to eat food that is not healthy, even when I can't afford it. She tells me what food to buy to keep me from getting sick. She cares about me like no one else does!

My husband/valentine brought our infant daughter to all of my clinicals and lectures while I was in nursing school after she quit taking a bottle at twelve weeks old. He continued to do this until I graduated and she was one year old. He's one amazing guy.

I love my husband for sticking with me through thick and thin, happy times and sad. Through the death of our infant son and the births of our beautiful daughters. He is a man of amazing character and integrity. He is funny, sweet and all around amazing! I love you, Tony.

After 38 years, a great kid (who I am raising by myself), a few really horrific failed relationships & several therapy sessions later, this year I am my own Valentine. I know that reads like the most conceited statement to make about a Valentine who gives back, but it is the truth. I am not a superstar, I am not special and I am definitely not perfect, but I am a loving, caring, thoughtful individual, who is finally at a point where I get to recognize & revel in the fact that I am good to those in my life. I may not feel this tomorrow - I might be on a post-therapy/Stuart Smalley-esque high right now - but this year I just need to recognize a person who does quite a bit for others - Me!!

My sweetheart does all the housework because I hate it and he never complains about me reading a book while he does it. I do work part time, while he is retired, but I think that the fact that he cleans if I cook puts him in the running for some sweet treats now and again !

My husband is for sure MY Valentine! He is in the US Coast Guard and is out every other week. He is the sweetest thing because he calls home every night he is gone to at least hear our three kids, even when they are fighting he always says how much he misses us. He really is amazing, after a trip he comes home and does everything for me knowing I was at home taking care of the kids and everything else. I am glad to hear about all of the amazing, wonderful, loving husbands in these posts. Not very often do I hear positive things about people's husband. Happy Valentine's Day!

This valentine is for my guy Martin. We worked together 18 years ago and by chance in 2008 we met again and have been together ever since. You inspire me and I love you very much for your kindness and love. Let's work on another 18 together for ourselves. Love, Sally

What makes my valentine special is anything. Everyday is special to me, valentine's day is no exception. It does help to remind us of who we love and who loves us though.

My husband is my Valentine - a week into our marriage and he was willing to leave his family and move across country just because I've always wanted to...that is faith and love! It's been tough but it's been a great first 8 months of marriage - it is us against the world and now we know we can do just about anything TOGETHER!
