Win Your Valentine a Gift that Gives Back

Celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving gifts that give back, helping spread that V-Day love around the world. Through fair prices, direct trade, community development and environmental stewardship, gifts of Whole Trade and Fair Trade treats add a new meaning to the old saying: “it’s the thought that counts.” Yes, it’s the thought…the thought that every purchase supports the workers and communities that produce the item you’re buying. From flowers and chocolates to wines and unique snacks, you can find a bundle of treats for your valentine. And to spread a little love around ourselves, we’re giving away five gift baskets full of socially responsible goodies. Why? Because it feels good to give gifts that give back! We’re giving away five baskets filled with Whole Trade and Fair Trade treats – from milk chocolate hearts and chocolate dipped bananas to cinnamon sugar drizzled popcorn and dark chocolate granola. My Valentine is my husband and my son and daughter. Valentines Day for us is not a day just for mom and dad but a day for all four of us to celebrate love for one another. We celebrate with a nice dinner at home with each other. What a wonderful day.

My valentine is my hub. Without him, I would not be the person I am today. He's always striving to be a better person and reminds me to stop and smell the roses along the way. :)

Unfortunately my valentine and I are apart for this Valentine's Day as he's working out of the country. But I love how he does little things even from the distance to make sure our relationship is still full and loving. He even agrees once a week to make some of my very healthy recipes so that we have something to do together even though we're apart. He is just a very special man that makes sure that those he cares about know it every day. =)

My husband & I have been married for over 38 years. With the exceptions of a few layoffs, he has worked to support our family. He has travelled out of MA to work....as far as Alaska. The past twenty years, he has worked in Boston and gets up almost every morning at 4:30 am to start his day.... and never complains about it. I think that makes him special.

Valentine Day is special for my boyfriend and I because it celebrates another year of love and friendship. He is my best friend and we share everything. The beauty of the flowers and the delicious meal he cooks allows us both to stop and take time to really appreciate how far we've come and plan for what comes next!

I am a lucky women! I have three valentines. My husband, daughter and son. The valentine that lives for Nature's path is my daughter. When she was little I bought the toaster pastries. Since that time she will only eat Nature's Path! She's six and is my organic little angle. She can taste the quality in foods. This basket would be a little bit of heaven. She might even share some with her daddy and baby brother!

My 5th grade Girl Scout Troop 12840! The girls are learning about Fair Trade to earn their Global Action Patch. We are writing Valentine's Day cards to chocolate companies to encourage Fair Trade practices. These girls have a wonderful giving spirit that think of others and of ideas on how to change the world! I love their youth, enthusiasm and most of all their smiles!

My Valentines are my daughter, Michelle and her daughter Emily. They take me for all of my doctors appointments. They do all of my grocery shopping, going to several stores if necessary. They help with my cleaning, and both of them are taking nursing classes and work part time jobs. Even when they are too tired to talk, they will answer questions that I IM them. Michelle knows when to push me, and she will not let me feel sorry for myself. Michelle is the person that keeps me going! She will be a compassionate nurse when she finishes her classes! Emily is a senior in high school, taking nursing classes there and will soon start college; continuing her nursing studies. My girls are awesome young women! I love them with my whole heart! God truly blessed me with these girls!

Big Thank you to the Hingham catering team. During a difficult loss of my Dad they were able to deliver the catering trays that we needed for the memorial service. Everything arrived on time and was delicious and exactly what we ordered. My family and I really appreciate their accommodating our needs on a Saturday morning.
