A tea gathering is one of the easiest, most relaxed events to host, and you’re welcome to leave Victorian etiquette behind and put your own spin on the party.

You don’t really need an excuse to plan one — getting together for good conversation and sociable noshing is always enough! — but there are some classic occasions for teas. It's Time to Get Reacquainted with Rosé

By John Stewart, April 24, 2015  |  Meet the Blogger  |  More Posts by John Stewart

Rose wineConfession time: At a recent tasting with our Global Wine Buyers, I tried to act enthusiastic when a chilled, dusky pink, slightly spritzy sipper was slid toward me. Fact is, my past so-so experiences with Rosés made me tentative. But I tried it, and…wow! I snuck another pour (a bit of a tasting no-no). That’s why I was so excited when our friends at Aura Cacia shared this DIY recipe for Citrus-Cocoa Body Butter. The combination of rich cocoa butter, uplifting vanilla and pure essential oils smells divine! What’s more, pure plant oils nourish and hydrate dry skin without harsh...

Roses

Even with two kids and nearly six years of parenting under my belt, I’m not an expert on what mothers want for Mother’s Day, but I sure know what I want. I want to sleep in (please don’t wake me before 8 am). I want some alone time (a yoga class). I want some family time (let’s go on a hike or have a picnic!). Anything above that is a bonus.

My husband and kids are great at meeting those needs and then going beyond with unexpected treats such as a relaxing afternoon in the backyard with a bottle of rosé, a cheese plate and the Sunday edition of the New York Times — some of my favorite things!

Looking for inspiration to make Mother’s Day memorable? Think of her...
