This class will be taught by Chef Ani. If you’re a carnivore, chances are, you’ve had your fair share of steaks, chops, breasts and thighs, and may be getting a little bored with the standard beef, lamb, chicken and pork. In our Meat and Seafood Department, we offer many different meats that can provide new flavors and textures to your cooking. Despite the fact that octopus, rabbit, pheasant, duck, quail, oxtails and more aren’t everyday dinner fare, they’re no more difficult to cook than chicken or beef, and oftentime have a lot more flavor. We’ll explore the nutritional and flavor profiles of each of our proteins, discover the best methods for cooking them and the flavors of great sauces that will complement stronger tasting meat. This class has hands on opportunities as desired. Pre-registration is required. On the menu:

  • Braised and Grilled Octopus
  • Poached and Seared Sweetbreads
  • Pan Roasted Quail with Glazed Carrots
  • Wine Stewed Oxtails
  • Whole Roast Pheasant with Pears and Pearl Onions
  • Rabbit Cacciatore (Italian Hunter’s Stew)

The Whole Kids Club presents...Cookie Monsters (Session I)

This class will be taught by Chef Ani. Mixing up, rolling out, cutting out, baking and icing cookies with your kids can be so much fun, but oh, the mess. No problem- you can  use our kitchen! In this fun family class, we’ll make homemade sugar cookies from start to finish. You’ll have many cookies to take home and enjoy, and no mess to clean up! Parents, please note: this is not a drop-off class. At least one parent is required to participate in the class. Due to space restrictions, each family reservation is limited to four people. Please indicate in your registration how many people will be attending. All supplies are included, but please feel free to bring favorite cookie cutters from home if you so desire. Pre-registration is required.
