Alba is a cooking instructor and personal chef specializing in southern Italian and Mediterranean cuisine in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Her recipes are rustic, simple and vibrant in taste.
From her personal collections of ancient Italian-Mediterranean recipes, Chef Alba is making a few of many popular recipes that may have faded in time. Let’s take the genuineness and the flavors of age-old dishes titled after Saints (Santi) and create dishes such as Crostini di Sant’Antonio, San Petro Fish in Marsala Wine, Vegetable Gratinato San Biaggio, and a special oil called Olio Santo.

Mia is our in-store Cheese Monger and Team Leader for the Specialty department. She is a Certified Cheese Professional (CCP) for the American Cheese Society (ACS). Her passion is to educate and share her wealth of knowledge with others.
It's back to school time with our American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional Mia Jones as she explores the world of cheese and cheese making.  Learn a little history, a little cheese making, about the different styles of cheeses, and of course, try some delicious cheese!  Cheeses will be served with appropriate condiments and our friends at Bin 201 will provide specially selected beverage pairings.

Dr. Passero is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and graduated from one of only eight accredited Naturopathic Medical Schools in North America. His mission is to bring cutting edge natural and holistic therapies to the Washington DC metro area and to educate people on the value of naturopathic medicine across the country. His practice focuses on an individualized approach to medicine.  His goal is to help people uncover the answers as to why their body is in distress and find the solutions necessary to restore optimal health.
Dr. Passero completed four years of post-graduate naturopathic medical education at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Colorado.

Maryland Naturopathic Doctors Association and is an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Chef David Ludwig began his career making pizza on the Jersey Shore while still in high school. After attending the Academy of Culinary Arts, he spent four years apprenticing at La Patisserie, a French bakery in Cape May. He spent the next five years in various baking positions, including pastry cook at the Trellis Restaurant in Williamsburg, VA, and as the executive pastry chef for the College of William and Mary’s catering department. Chef Ludwig then accepted a position at the prestigious Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA where he honed his pastry skills for many years. Currently, he is a full time instructor at Anne Arundel Community College, where he teaches pastry arts, food science and a variety of continuing education courses. Chef Ludwig is a Certified Executive Pastry Chef, a Certified Hospitality Educator and a member of and Approved Certification Evaluator for the American Culinary Federation.

Learn the secrets of making delicious pizza at home. Understand the principles of making a proper pizza dough, sample both classic Italian as well as new world flavor combinations, and learn to convert your home oven to simulate that wonderful brick oven texture we all love. From crazy toppings and Chicago style to Gluten free and dessert pizzas, you will love the selection, and be inspired to make your next pizza party a roaring success.
