Healthy Eating Classes Wednesdays in September 6-7pm Free

Most of us would like to make healthier choices, but sometimes it can be overwhelming to figure out exactly what “healthy” means.  At Whole Foods Market®, we’ve pulled together a group of doctors and scientists to help us boil it down to four simple principles. We call these the Four Pillars of Healthy Eating.

 

Wednesday, September 3rd • Focus on Whole Foods: In general, unprocessed whole foods retain more nutrients than processed, packaged foods. Create meals from unrefined ingredients to boost the beneficial nutrients in every bite.

 

Wednesday, September 10th • Eat Plant-Strong®: Plants are the best sources of fiber and phytonutrients. Eat plant-based foods to get your fill of these vital nutrients.

 

Wednesday, September 17th • Choose Healthy Fats: Whole plant foods contain healthy fats with more nutrients than oils and other concentrated fats. Get your healthy fats from whole food sources such as nuts, seeds and avocados.

 

Wednesday, September 24th Consider Nutrient Density: Nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients, are essential for good health. Choose foods that have a high concentration of nutrients per calorie, such as colorful fruits and vegetables.
