One Dime at a Time Fundraiser for Aftercare for Indiana through Mentoring
Thursday, January 1st
8:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Whole Foods Market Carmel, FREE

One Dime At a Time Fundraiser: Bring your own bags and donate the bag credit!

This program provides an incentive to reuse grocery bags and develop stronger communities. At the register, you have the option to receive a 10¢ per reusable bag refund, or you can choose to donate your refund to that quarter’s selected local non-profit organization.

The two Indiana stores are delighted to support January, February & March’s recipient: Aftercare for Indiana through Mentoring. AIM’s social enterprise “Knead to Feed Artisan Breads & Baked Goods” trains disadvantaged youth to bake using high quality, natural ingredients, locally sourced when available. This job training and mentoring program is provided at no cost to justice involved, homeless, and foster care youth who live at or below the federal poverty guidelines. In addition to job training, they serve as an Indiana Department of Education Summer Food Site providing meals cooked by our students to children who would otherwise go without food during the summer months. Funds will purchase supplies needed for our job training & transitional employment program for at-risk youth. Get involved at aimmentoring.org.
