We’re introducing a new weekly series, “Meet the Fishmonger”, in the store! Stop by our Seafood Department to try a delicious dish and to find out what fish we’re celebrating every week.

The Veggiecation Program will be visiting our store to teach kids to love and eat their veggies! Kids will be invited to help prepared Veggiecation recipes, sample culinary creations, experience vegetables in their raw form and cast a vote on how they like the recipes. Kids will take home complimentary character coloring pages, word games, mazes and stickers. Parents will receive a copy of recipes created in the class.

Another new addition to our event line-up will feature our Seafood Team showing off a new and interesting fish arrival! Whether it’s a large opah fish or a local catch fresh off the boat, they’ll clean the fish for you, give you a sample in a recipe, and then help you decide how you can best use it at home!

Our Meat Department will teach a class twice in October, celebrating the intricacies of their craft. They’ll show customers how to purchase the best cuts, for flavor, value, tenderness and more. They’ll also incorporate those cuts into recipes so that you can see the perfect application for your family.

Even though it’s not summer anymore, the tri-state area is still bursting with local products! Visit the store to see the flavors that come from your neighborhood.

Kids will meet our floral specialist, Antionette, who will show them how to decorate their pumpkin. Then, Carmen, our Culinary Demo Specialist, will help them to create a pumpkin tart….yum!
