Engine 2 28 Day Challenge
Start your engines and get fired up!!! From February 3rd through March 3rd, take the Engine 2 28-Day Challenge by boosting the amount of plant-based foods in your daily diet. When you fill your body with whole, minimally processed plant foods you’re eating plant-strong® – and that’s one of the secrets to taking control of your health.
The Engine 2 Challenge is a simple, easy-to-follow 28-day plant-strong program that will enable you to see results: healthy cholesterol, healthy weight, healthy blood sugar levels and energy and wellbeing!
There are three paths to choose from while participating in an Engine 2 Challenge:
· Volunteer Firefighter –Simply understand the Engine 2 principles and begin to refocus your meals to include more plants!
· Fire Cadet –A great option for anyone who likes a more gradual approach to living plant-strong. Over the course of four weeks you’ll slowly wean yourself into a plant-strong lifestyle!
· Firefighter – The Firefighter track is the perfect choice for anyone who likes to jump in with both feet! Starting on day one, the Firefighter embraces a 100% plant-strong lifestyle! This track yields maximum results over the course of the Engine 2 Challenge.
Each week, participants can attend weekly hands-on cooking classes, leaving you with a full belly and inspiration to keep going. You can also attend weekly check-ins to help guide the way and provide an opportunity to talk with others making the same changes. Jen, our Healthy Cooking Coach and Dietitian from Bastyr University will be your guide through these 28 days.
To kick things off, on February 1st, Jen will host a plant-strong brunch and orientation to get you excited for the challenge. You will also pick up your starter kit containing delicious food samples from local vendors, recipes, literature, handouts, and food journals.
