The Whole Grain Workshop

Learn about the important health benefits of whole grains. In this workshop we’ll focus on the two most common grains in the history of man, brown rice and whole wheat. This will include health benefits, preparation, as well as a delicious demo. The demo will focus on utilizing brown basmati rice in a delicious Indian meal. Every fact will be backed with scientific journals for your further educational needs.

Jasmine Birlew is a Molecular Biologist turned Natural Cook. She is the author of the upcoming book “Lessons in Whole Grain and Unprocessed Cooking”. She is also the Owner of Old World Kitchen where she gives cooking lessons focused on whole grains, mainly to patients with health problems such as diabetes, cancer, and obesity.  All attendees receive a $5 Whole Foods gift card, call 720.941.4100 to snag a spot!
