The primary focus of the event will be to educate people on a Natural Raw Vegan Approach to Nutrition as it relates to performance in recreational activities/sports & Fitness Goals including Fat Loss and Muscle Gain.    We will be dispelling myths of Raw Vegan nutrition as it relates to sports performance & recreational activities.  We will be educating people on what types of foods are consumed for optimal performance.  We briefly outline and discuss the major human energy sytems.  We outline the micro/macro nutrient journey to energy production and how that affects the body.

Some flavorful and healthy menu options from the Indian spread, where seasonings and herbs are employed to lend taste and flavor. Food can be made appetizing and delicious tapping into the creative alternatives of herbs and spices! You will never miss the added ‘fats’…

 

Class Menu:

Aloo Cahnnay Chaat: This is more than just a treat… this is an indulgence!!     Late morning it’s a delicious snack to share with friends over for a cup of coffee, a complete lunch in the afternoon or a ‘pick me up’ with a cup of chai at 4:00 before dinner! A tempting mix of fruits, beans and vegetables topped with a mix of flavorful chutneys.

Daal:  lentils the way they must be. Seasoned with aromatic spices and herbs then slow cooked for the flavors to blend well. A lovely (another word for: vegan) way to enjoy some good protein and fiber.

Sarsoon ka Saag: (mustard Greens cooked with mild herbs and spinach): A traditional Punjabi dish served typically during winter-the natural season for mustard. Enjoyed with warm homemade chappatis or corn tortillas!

Chappati: How about some homemade flat bread. Fresh off the ‘tava’ (the traditional chappati cooking griddle) it’s easier to fix than you’d imagine!

 

Boiled Basmati Rice with vegetables: a surprising mix of herbs and some whole spices lend flavor to plain rice and every morsel is memorable treat from that point on.
