Is it possible to go green when drinking local wine? Of course! Noboleis Vineyards of Augusta, MO will join us to sample their wines which are produced and bottled just 40 minutes from our store. Their estate vineyards grow Missouri varieties that are produced from start to finish onsite. The environmental impact? Grapes do not travel hundreds of miles to be produced into wine only to travel another few hundred miles to a store’s shelf. It is all produced right here in nearby Augusta, MO. Noboleis Vineyard’s award winning wines have been compared to fine Chardonnay's and full bodied Cabernet's, yet their full lines of wines have something for every palate. Come, taste and be surprised that fine wines can be found so close to home. Get hooked on local wines!

Whole Foods Market gives 10 cents per bag to customers who re-use their own shopping bags for their purchased groceries. This program reduces our impact on the environment and supports local nonprofit groups. Throughout April, May and June, customers will have the choice to accept their cash refund or donate the cash back to our store’s chosen nonprofit organization, Coalition for Animal Rescue & Education (C.A.R.E.). C.A.R.E.’s mission is to eliminate the endless cycle of pet overpopulation and neglect that exists in our country by creating an increased level of community awareness. They support that commitment through animal rescue, spay/neuter programs, supporting companion animals and community outreach education. The first 25 customers to come by their table to meet them will receive a free Whole Foods Market tote bag. Weather permitting; they will also have some of their rescue animals with them for you to meet. Go to http://caretakersnetwork.org/ for additional information.
