With Marcia Whelan, Marketing & Community Relations Specialist
Join Marcia for a tour around the store where she’ll point out and discuss healthy eating options in every department. As part of our efforts to eat healthier in the New Year, the timing of this tour couldn’t be better. It’s free, but advance registration is required due to space limitations.
Whole Foods Market gives 10 cents per bag to customers who re-use their own shopping bags for their purchased groceries. This program reduces our impact on the environment and supports local nonprofit groups. Throughout April, May and June, customers will have the choice to accept their cash refund or donate the cash back to our store’s chosen nonprofit organization, Coalition for Animal Rescue & Education (C.A.R.E.). C.A.R.E.’s mission is to eliminate the endless cycle of pet overpopulation and neglect that exists in our country by creating an increased level of community awareness. They support that commitment through animal rescue, spay/neuter programs, supporting companion animals and community outreach education. The first 25 customers to come by their table to meet them will receive a free Whole Foods Market tote bag. Weather permitting; they will also have some of their rescue animals with them for you to meet. Go to http://caretakersnetwork.org/ for additional information.

We will host adorable and adoptable canine friends from Stray Rescue of St. Louis out on our sidewalk. All dogs in attendance will be in need of loving, forever homes. If you or someone you know is looking to add a puppy or a dog as a member of your family, please join us at our Pet Adoption Day. Stray Rescue of St. Louis has been one of our partners since we opened our store in Brentwood in 2001. We have enjoyed assisting them in their mission to rescue hundreds of dogs and cats in need of medical care, loving attention and a place to call home. Feel free to come by and share some much needed love with the dogs and puppies that will be with us on the 8th.
