Banh Mi Grass-Fed Beef Burgers

Serve these burgers on crusty hunks of baguette, just like a traditional Vietnamese banh mi sandwich. For a fresh and easy condiment, toss shredded carrots, cucumbers and lettuce with rice vinegar and a pinch of sugar and pile onto the burgers.

    Ingredients: 
    • 3/4 pound 90% lean ground grass-fed beef
    • 1 cup shredded carrots
    • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
    • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
    • 2 teaspoons sugar
    • 3/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • Canola oil cooking spray (optional)

    Method: 

    Combine beef, carrots, cilantro, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper in a large bowl and form into four (4-inch) patties. Grill over medium heat or broil, flipping once, until done to your taste, 6 to 8 minutes. Or, spray a large skillet with cooking spray and cook over medium heat, 6 to 8 minutes.
