Cranberry Sauce with Walnuts

Stored well, this cranberry sauce will keep for 2 weeks in the refrigerator. So make it ahead and keep it on hand to add sweet-tart flavor to roasted meats and sandwiches when you're in a hurry.

    Ingredients: 
    • 2 cups cranberries
    • 1/2 cup apple juice
    • 1/2 cup honey or rice syrup
    • 1 teaspoon grated rind from oranges
    • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans

    Method: 

    Combine cranberries, apple juice, and honey in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes until berries pop. Remove from heat and stir in grated orange rind and walnuts. Cool to room temperature and then chill in a covered container.
