Goat Cheese with Spicy Pecans

Goat Cheese with Spicy Pecans

Serves 4 to 6

Use as much cayenne as you like to spice up this rich, creamy appetizer. Letting the goat cheese come to room temperature after coating it in the pecan mixture will make for easy spreading on crostini or crackers.

  • 2/3 cup finely chopped toasted pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • pinch of cayenne
  • 1 (4- to 6-ounce) log, crotin or pyramid fresh goat cheese
  • Crostini or crackers
