Herb and Garlic Goat Cheese Dip

Serve this fresh herbed twist on goat cheese with crisp endive leaves, carrot sticks, crackers or tortilla chips for dipping. Seasoning on fresh goat cheese varies, so make sure you taste the finished dip before adding salt, since you may not need it.
Ingredients: 
  • 5 ounces fresh goat cheese
  • 2/3 cup low-fat sour cream
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Method: 
Combine goat cheese and sour cream thoroughly with a whisk or food processor. Stir in green onions, parsley, basil and garlic by hand. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to overnight before serving. Taste and add salt (if using) and black pepper before serving.
