North Carolina Barbecue Sauce

North Carolina barbeque sauce is traditionally vinegar-based. Try pouring this tart condiment over pulled pork or chopped beef brisket.

    Ingredients: 
    • 1 1/2 cup cider vinegar
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1 teaspoon sea salt
    • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    • 1 teaspoon sugar

    Method: 

    Combine vinegar, water, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and sugar, let simmer over low heat for half an hour.
