Sweet and Savory Seafood Dry Rub

Makes about 1 cup

A dry rub like this one, sweetened with brown sugar and flavored with paprika and basil, is ideal for salmon, red snapper or tuna fillets.

Ingredients: 
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Method: 

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Store in an airtight glass jar in a cool place. Use 1 to 2 tablespoons of dry rub per pound of fish. Rub mixture liberally over and into fish before pan frying, grilling or baking.
