Whole Foods Market believe in supporting the community we serve. Each of our stores have the power to make decisions at a local level about how best to serve our customers and community.
There are 4 ways which the Richmond Store can help and support the community:
1. 5% days - we have 4 designated days throughout the year in which we donated 5% of the day’s net sales to local non-profit organisations.
On our opening day (Tuesday 8 October) we are proud to be supporting the following charities by donating 5 per cent of net profit made on the day: The Vineyard Community Centre, The Poppy Appeal, Orange Tree Theatre, Homestart Richmond and The Avenue Club.
2. Till point charities – these are an opportunity to showcase your charity’s profile and give every customer the chance to donate directly to your cause.
3. Food Banks – We produce amazing food on a daily basis, unfortunately at times some becomes surplus. We donate this food to our local food bank which then use it to help those most in need.
We are currently working in partnership with the Vineyard Community Centre food bank who collect surplus food from the Richmond store to help individuals who visit their centre.
4. We are happy to donate prizes and gifts for worthy fundraisers that will benefit our local community.
