At Whole Foods Market, we believe consumers have the right to know how their food is produced and this includes whether or not it contains Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).
We support transparent information regarding GMOs and from January the 1st 2013 we will not knowingly sell products containing GMOs. Within the EU the use of GM ingredients is not widespread. All products that contain GMOs are required by European law to be labeled as such. We work with our producers to identify the likelihood of any GM ingredients & if they are found to be present we will not sell them in our UK stores.
To be absolutely assured that no trace of GM ingredients exists, we advise our customers to buy organically certified products.
