Rustic Italian Cooking: Two for Two! with Francesca Giarraffa Two Dinners for Two People

It's always handy to have a couple of "sure fire" menu plans in your repertoire to enjoy with someone special. Why not expand your horizons with two new ones that share the tastes of Italy? Join our native Italian cooking instructor in preparing and sampling two menus: Menu one includes tuna steak (pan seared and topped with marinated tomatoes, anchovies, green onions and herbs), fennel and cannellini bean salad (tossed in lemon vinaigrette with red onions). Menu two includes veal chops (stuffed with prosciutto and fontina cheese, sautéed, and topped with a white wine reduction including truffle oil), grilled asparagus spears (topped with shaved parmigiano cheese). Both dinners will be served with a dessert drink, "cappuccino alla panna.” This class is held in the Cooking and Lifestyles Classroom at Whole Foods Market, 3135 Washtenaw Ave., in Ann Arbor.
