We are launching our Whole Planet Foundation Prosperity Campaign from February 18 - March 31 where we will be raising funds to empower women around the globe through microcredit!

Microcredit is small loans - usually $200 or less - requiring no collateral or contract. Providing the poor in these communities access to credit through microloans enables them to escape the visious cycle of poverty by allowing them to use their own energy and creativity to help themselves.

Our store goal is to raise $3,279.00, and $1.5 million as a company in this short amount of time! Donate at our registers $1, $5, or as much as you would like between February 18 - March 31 and help women lift themselves out of poverty! And you can give with confidence that 100% of your contribution will fund microlending programs as Whole Foods Market covers all operating costs for Whole Planet Foundation!

Pie in the Face Day! Sat March 27, 1 pm: It's the day we've all been waiting for! Our Team Members have donated money in the name of the Team Leader they'd most like to see get a pie in the face. The top 3 Team Leaders with the most donations get a pie in the face today! Don't miss it! And we'll have pie you can buy for a buck to eat without it being thrown in your face!

Also, keep an eye out for our Whole Trade Guarentee products throughout the store such as many of our chocolates, teas, coffees and more! These products Whole Trade Guarentee is for ethical trade, quality products, environmentally sustainable practices, and they donate 1% of proceeds to the Whole Planet Foundation!

Our 5% Day Breaks Utah Record for KPCW

We are proud to announce that we raised $3,750.39 for KPCW Radio at our last 5% Day to kick off Sundance! KPCW broadcasted the "This Green Earth" show live from our cafe and we discussed our Green Mission program and featured directors from different films playing at Sundance!

The best part about the funds we raised is they will go to help fund free broadcasting for local non-profits in our community.

Thank you to KPCW Radio and our community for helping us raise the most money for a 5% Day out of any of our stores in Utah ever!

We Raised $1,764.65 for our Kimball Art Center 5% Community Day

We are very proud to announce that we raised $1,764.65 for the Kimball Art Center at our last 5% Community Day in November! Check out our 5% Day video "Park City Then & Now" on YouTube!

We had a fantastic Art Opening featuring the artists of the Young Artists Academy and their project "Park City Then and Now" which is on display in our cafe, and were featured in the Park Record.

If you missed it, don't fret! The amazing art will be on display through January 2010, and we will launch a new project from Kimball Art Center in February! Plus you can visit the Kimball Art Center for more amazing art displays.

Our next 5% Community Day will be held on Thursday, January 21, and will benefit local favorite KPCW Radio! We will be broadcasting a show live from our store encouraging the community to help us raise as much as possible for our friends at KPCW!

We are proud to announce we are now offering Healthy Eating Tours for Kids! If you have a youth group that would be ineterested in coming to our store for a fun tour with tasty samples and cool facts about the importance of healthy food, please contact Corinne via email at corinne.piazza@wholefoods.com for details.
