Meet Bill Renna: Store Team Leader

A letter from Bill:

I'm so proud to be your Store Team Leader at Whole Foods Market Bowery. I am passionate about great customer service, great food, and happy and excellent team members. I feel honored to have opened our doors in a neighborhood rich in food, culture and history, and we're proud to join the deep tradition of purveyors, tastemakers and community organizations that make up the Lower East Side. Whole Foods Market will continue to make this a community that honors the past with an eye towards the future.

Here are some things that I think sets our store apart:

Whole Foods Market Culinary Center
We know food and love to share our passion about it! Our Culinary Center calendar features both hands-on and demonstration classes with a nurturing and friendly vibe from Culinary Center Director Christine Carroll and Culinary Center Educator Wai Chu. Culinary Center classes are appropriate for cooking enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Going Local
We're proud to support local artisans and vendors who make up the Lower East Side and surrounding areas. In particular, we're thrilled to besupporting neighborhood entrepreneurs, like Rick's Picks!

Team Member Diversity
Our Team Member base represents more than 23 countries! We are proud to have TMs from around the neighborhood and around the world.

Innovation
Check out Rustica Minardi, our interpretation of an Italian osteria,our Beer Room (my personal favorite!) the Fromagerie (with our own cheese aging room!), Fresh & Wild salad area and much more.

Commitment to the Community
We're passionately committed to making a difference in the communities we serve. A percentage of our sales are used to benefit nonprofit organizations on a monthly basis. Here's a partial list of local nonprofits that we are working with: Lower East Side Girls Club, YMCA, M'Finda Kalunga Garden, Housing Works, University Settlement and the Grand Street Settlement.

We want to be your neighborhood store, your go-to for answers to all your culinary questions, and a place to share our passion and joy about what we find so exciting - great food.

By Subway:
F and V subway trains to 2nd Avenue
B and D trains to Broadway-Lafayette (walk 4 blocks east)
By Bus:
M21 cross town Houston Street bus; M103 Downtown bus along 3rd Ave/Bowery
Parking:
Currently there is no parking specifically for Whole Foods Market shoppers, however there are many garages in the area.
