Small-format urban stores continue to engage new customers with high quality, fresh and convenient offerings
NEW YORK (Nov. 12, 2025) – Whole Foods Market will open two more locations of its smaller format store concept, Whole Foods Market Daily Shop. The first location, a 4,841-square-foot store located at 101 Washington Street in Hoboken, New Jersey, will open at 8 a.m. Dec. 18. The Hoboken store will be the first Daily Shop location in New Jersey. The second location, a 7,888-square-foot store located at 774 Grand Street, Brooklyn, N.Y., will open in early 2026. Both locations are designed to bring fresh, high-quality ingredients to customers with a convenience that fits their fast-paced urban lifestyles.
Whole Foods Market has opened four Daily Shop locations since 2024, including three in the New York City area and one in Arlington, Virginia, which opened in October 2025. A nine-month analysis based on internal data showed that 42% of shoppers at the Lenox Hill store – which just celebrated its one year anniversary this past September – between September 2024 and May 2025 were either new or re-engaged Whole Foods Market customers who hadn't shopped at other New York City metro Whole Foods Market locations in the same period the prior year, proving the concept is successful at driving new business to the retailer. Berries, grapes, and avocados are among the top-selling items at all Daily Shop locations so far. Ready-to-eat foods are also a major draw, led by rotisserie chickens.
The two newest stores will feature Whole Foods Market favorites, including an ample selection of fresh, seasonal produce, meat and seafood; prepared foods options, including sandwiches, pre-packed meals and breads; and supplements, as well as a handpicked range of local specialties and 365 by Whole Foods Market brand products.

Opening morning at both locations, customers will enjoy samples from local suppliers, and the first 300 customers in line will also receive a limited-edition tote bag.
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, Whole Foods Market will make food donations to Table to Table opens in a new tab and City Harvest opens in a new tab, through the company's Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations to transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need.
