Origin – Tierra de Castilla, Spain
This southern region, outside of Toledo, is ideal for rich and full-bodied wines. El Terrano Tempranillo is organically dry-farmed and crafted from vineyards near the villages of Dosbarrios and Cabañas de Yepes, and noted for cold, dry winters, warm summer days, and cool summer nights.
The El Terrano Tempranillo is full-bodied and robust. Saturated color with aromas and flavors of blackberry, currant, black pepper, and a touch of licorice.
Excellent pairing with grilled meats and smoky dishes, such as sausages, barbecue, kebabs and hearty vegetables that have a nice char from the grill.
A trio of winemaker friends and colleagues, Margarita Madrigal, Gonzalo Rodriguez and Alexandra Schmedes, craft this 90% Tempranillo and 10% Syrah. Aged for 5-8 months in French and American oak barrels.
