North Coast, California, USA; A vintage sparkling wine made in the traditional method, as in Champagne. Schramsberg is the first producer of Blanc de Noir sparkling wine in America since 1967.
Small lots of hand harvested Pinot Noir from the best cool-climate vineyards of Nor Cal undergo partial malolactic and barrel-fermentation. The wine is expertly blended and aged on the yeast lees in the bottle for almost two years prior to disgorgement.
Generous aromas of peach, toasted almond and fresh red apple, which layer with fragrances of strawberry, citrus blossom and marzipan. A dry, lively and balanced acidity gives way to a clean, fresh and mouthwatering floral and mandarin orange finish.
Schramsberg Vineyards Blanc de Noirs is particularly well-suited to serve with a variety of foods, including soft and nutty cheeses, macadamia nut-crusted halibut and pork tenderloin with fresh rosemary and lemon thyme.
