Whole Foods Market is located on 731 East Blithedale Ave, in Mill Valley, California. It opened in June of 2010. Set up like a farmer's market roadside stand, customers enter the store through two wooden roll up doors into the produce department. Know as the most "local" store with hundreds of local products and produce. The building is a green achievement. 75% of the waste generated from the former facility was recycled or reused. The bike wheels hanging above the cash registers were saved from the landfill. The tile mosaic in the bakery was made from seconds and overruns. The light shades hanging in the cafe were made from corrugated cardboard. They say "We are green from the studs out.
