Maybe you’re thinking “Earth Month? I thought there was just Earth Day!” We know that Earth Day isn’t until April 22nd, but we love to celebrate all month long. Starting today, we’ll be sharing our favorite earth-friendly tips and tutorials here on the Whole Story blog and on our Facebook page.

We know that going green can sometimes feel a little overwhelming, and that’s why we’ll be sharing #1GreenThing that make a difference in the health of our planet each day. After all, little steps can make a big difference.

Each week we will explore a new theme: This week is all about reusing and reducing waste at home, in the office, pretty much everywhere.

7 Ways To Reduce and Reuse

Monday
You can buy in bulk to cut down on food waste at home. Get the exact the amount you need, even if that means just buying one bay leaf at a time.

Tuesday
Never forget your reusable grocery bags again: After you’ve unpacked your groceries, hang the bags on your key hook so you won’t miss them on your way out.

Wednesday 
You can save money when you replace disposable items with earth-friendly picks. We’re all about simple swaps, like multiple-use dish cloths instead of single-use paper towels to cut down on paper waste at home.

Thursday
Waste less and make more from your food. Keep a large bag in the freezer for raw veggie scraps as you prepare meals. When the bag is full, empty into a pot and simmer with water and herbs for a tasty stock.

Friday
Bring it! Your lunch, your water bottle or your coffee mug, that is. Reduce single-use packaging waste by toting your trusty reusable containers.

Saturday
