Some of our favorite local Pennsylvania partners and products
Olga Sorzano, CEO
Olga Sorzano grew up in Siberia, where her great-grandmother “Baba” always had a jar of homemade kombucha in the pantry. Baba’s Brew came to life in 2015 when Sorzano craved a taste of home and began brewing her family’s Old World recipe for others to enjoy. The kombucha is handcrafted in small batches using seasonal produce and fully powered by wind energy.
Jared Slater, Founder
Raised in Philadelphia during the Great Depression, Aunt Caroline made BBQ sauce long before it was a brand. One night while eating some of the delicious sauce with barbecued chicken, her nephew had the idea to bottle it. Aunt Caroline agreed. Now, their gluten-free sauce blends are shared with the West Conshohocken community and beyond.

Jess Edelstein & Sarah Ribner, Cofounders
Jess Edelstein came up with an innovative alternative to the usual deodorant and shared it with her best friend, Sarah Ribner. Their deodorant formula is made without parabens and aluminum and is scented with essential oils. Piperwai was born when the two friends realized how effective it was and decided to share it with Philadelphia — and beyond.
