We take sourcing seriously, which means we’re selective about the products we stock on our shelves, cases and coolers — including organic milk. Whether you’re a decadent cookie dipper, latte maker or cereal connoisseur, choosing organic milk means:
Cows are not given antibiotics or added growth hormones
Access to certified organic pasture at least 120 days per year
Organic feed, which prohibits GMOs and toxic persistent pesticides, herbicides and fungicides
From farmer-owned co-ops to multigenerational family farms, our organic dairy suppliers are doing important things to help affect positive change for the environment and their herds — with initiatives like Regenerative Organic Certification and 100% grass-fed dairy cows.

Meet Some of Our Organic Dairy Suppliers
Over the years we’ve fostered strong relationships with farmers across the U.S. Let’s get into some of the ways they’re putting in the work.
Organic Valley | Wisconsin
This long-standing dairy supplier collaborator has over 189,000 acres in their care – if you’ve ever wandered our aisles, you’ve seen them. But did you know that despite being big, they’re made up of more than 1,800 small organic farms that stretch across the U.S.? Together, they form a co-op that supports the livelihoods of the next generation of dairy leaders. With the average member over 10 years younger than the national average, they’re evolving farming practices with attention to monitoring and improving soil health and nurturing biodiversity.
Alexandre Family Farm | California
Nestled between majestic redwoods and the Pacific Ocean in northern California’s Humboldt and Del Norte counties, the Alexandre family practices holistic organic farming with pasture-raised herds. That’s backed up by their title as the first Regenerative Organic Certified dairy farm in the U.S. The certification breaks down into three pillars with strict requirements addressing soil health, animal welfare and working conditions for farmworkers.
Maple Hill Creamery | New York
Cofounded by siblings in 2009, Maple Hill Creamery has grown from one upstate New York farm to over 120 small, family-owned co-op members today. For these folks, it all comes down to raising a 100% grass-fed herd. No corn, no grain, just grass. See if you can taste the difference.
