An excellent topping for sandwiches, chicken, pork or steamed greens. The spiciness of the finished chutney will depend on the heat of your curry powder, so increase or decrease the amount you use to suit your tastes and add chile flakes for more kick.
Combine apples, onion, cider, curry powder, cinnamon stick and chile flakes in a large saucepan and place over medium heat. Cover and cook, stirring frequently, until apples are tender but not falling apart, 12 to 15 minutes. Discard cinnamon stick. Serve warm, at room temperature or chilled.
