Granola Trail Mix

Granola Trail Mix

Serves 7

Sweeten up a favorite breakfast granola with the additions of dried fruits and chocolate chips. For the healthiest choice, select unsulphured, unsweetened dried fruit. A perfect way to add crunch and something sweet to any lunch box, along with a few "hidden" nutrients. Snack on it like trail mix, or spoon over yogurt, if desired.

  • 2 cups favorite lowfat granola
  • 1/2 cup dried banana chips
  • 1/2 cup non-dairy, grain sweetened chocolate or carob chips
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts or toasted pecans, (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried papaya
