Mango Salad with Chile-Lime Salt

Serves 4

This simple and refreshing salad is packed with flavor and great to serve along with simple grilled or roasted foods, or enjoy it by itself as a fruit cup. If you like, you can garnish it with chopped fresh mint.

  • 3 mangoes, peeled, pitted and diced
  • Zest of 2 limes
  • 1 teaspoon teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Large pinch powdered ancho chile pepper or cayenne

Place mangoes on a plate or in a shallow bowl. In a small bowl, combine lime zest, chili powder, salt and powdered ancho chile pepper. Sprinkle the mixture over the mangoes and serve.
