Made with almondmilk and warmly spiced orange syrup, this creamy vegan drink is a much lighter take on the classic New Orleans brandy milk punch. It can be served warm or cold and is perfect for holiday brunches. A blender (or an immersion blender) is essential for creating an appealing frothy texture. Feel free to replace the brandy with Cognac, dark rum or bourbon.
Combine almondmilk, brandy, orange spice syrup and vanilla in a blender and blend until smooth and frothy, at least 1 minute. (If serving punch cold, you can add a few ice cubes to the blender along with the other ingredients.) Pour into 2 rocks glasses and garnish with nutmeg.
If serving punch warm, heat mixture in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Whisk or blend to froth mixture again, pour into 2 mugs and garnish with nutmeg.
