Matcha is a Japanese green tea. It is finely ground into a powder making it easy to dissolve for this alternative latte.
- 2 cups plain unsweetened flaxseed milk
- 1 cup apple cider
- 2 teaspoons matcha powder
- ground cinnamon
- 2 slices Granny Smith apple for garnish
Combine flaxseed milk and cider in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Whisk in matcha powder and cinnamon. Blend with an immersion blender or transfer the slightly cooled mixture to an upright blender and process until frothy, 10 to 15 minutes. Take care when using an upright blender and mix in batches if needed. Pour latte into mugs and garnish with apple slices.
