Apple Pecan Muffins with Currants

This recipe works well for making mini-muffins, too. It will make about 2 dozen. Make sure to decrease the cooking time to allow for the muffins' smaller size.

- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 cup pecan pieces
