Make up a batch of this spiced butter and slather on freshly baked biscuits, muffins, bagels, waffles or pancakes. And, of course, it is divine on plain old toast!
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup grade B maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon gluten-free vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Combine the butter, syrup, vanilla and cinnamon in a food processor and blend until smooth.
Pack into a crock or small ramekins and refrigerate.
Per serving: about 1 tablespoon, 120 calories (100 from fat), 12g total fat, 7g saturated fat, 30mg cholesterol, 0mg sodium, 3g carbohydrates (0g dietary fiber, 3g sugar), 0g protein.
