This creamy blended dip is the perfect accompaniment to fresh fruit. Make sure to use a ripe avocado for the ideal texture. Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the dip to prevent discoloration.
- 4 pitted dates
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Place dates in a cup or small bowl and cover with water. Let soak 1 hour. Drain well.
Place soaked dates, avocado, orange juice, cocoa powder and vanilla in the bowl of a food processor and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
