This irresistible appetizer pairs sweet dried fruit with smoky, salty, crispy bacon. If you prefer, use pitted dates in place of the prunes.
- 4 slices center-cut bacon, cut crosswise into thirds
- 12 prunes
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Wrap a piece of bacon around each prune and secure with a toothpick.
Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake until bacon is crispy and cooked through, about 10 minutes, turning prunes halfway through. Serve immediately.
