In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and pecans. Carefully transfer to a 1-quart mason jar, gently patting the bottom of the jar with the palm of your hand to settle the dry ingredients and create more room in the jar. Place cherries in a sealable plastic bag and fit inside the top of the jar before closing.
