Grilled Chicken Sausage and Red Pear Skewers
Serves 6 as an appetizer
Time 2 hr 25 min
Make the most of early Fall flavors with savory chicken sausage and sweet, crisp Barlett pears in a rich balsamic marinade. Fire up the grill one last time before the weather changes, and enjoy these skewers under the falling leaves.
Special Diets:
Ingredients
- 2 fully cooked chicken sausages, cut into 12 pieces
- 1 red Bartlett pear, cut into 12 chunks
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Method
Toss sausages with pear, oil and vinegar in a bowl.
Marinate for 1/2 hour to 2 hours.
Prepare a grill for medium heat cooking.
Thread two pieces of sausage and two pieces of pear on each of 6 skewers. (If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes before using.)
Grill the skewers until grill marks form and the pear begins to soften, about 2 minutes on each side.
