Oven Fries

These simple fries are delicious for big and small kids alike. If you don't want spicy fries, omit the chili powder and sprinkle with a bit of sweet paprika instead to add some color.

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pound Russet potatoes
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 teaspoons chili powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Method
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Cut potatoes into quarters lengthwise, then cut into 1/4-inch thick wedges.
Place in a large bowl and thoroughly coat with olive oil and chili powder, if using.
Place potatoes on two large rimmed baking sheets in a single layer.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake until cooked through and golden brown, 30 to 35 minutes.
